DIGITS

In the digital age, where most interactions are brief and fleeting, Digits, a short film by Alexander Engel, dives into the chaos and comedy of modern love and obsession. This cleverly written and emotionally sharp film follows a man who loses the phone number of a woman he believes could be “the one.” With only a single digit to go on, he embarks on a borderline ridiculous mission to call every possible number combination until he finds her. Through humor, heart, and a touch of madness, Digits explores themes of connection, desperation, and the lengths people go to avoid regret. From the very beginning, Digits manages to grab the viewer’s attention. The protagonist, dressed in a bright orange sweater, is seen holding a phone to his ear while his other hand covers his face in frustration. This opening immediately communicates both the humor and tension that define the tone of the film. I felt a mix of amusement, curiosity, and a strange sense of anxiety as the story unfolded. The idea ...

Don’t Move 🎥 Watch here: Don’t Move (YouTube) Don’t Move is a short horror film by Anthony Melton, part of the Bloody Cuts horror anthology. The story drops us in the middle of a tense situation where people  trapped in a room with a deadly demon that strikes at any movement. Without many dialogue, the film keeps us on edge using fear, silence, and sharp visuals. It’s a great example of “show, don’t tell.” The film wastes no time it begins with panic. We meet the main character in a high-stakes moment, standing still and terrified. We soon learn that moving even slightly could lead to death, thanks to a supernatural presence that hunts by motion. The central theme is survival through stillness, highlighting the power of fear, silence, and self-control. It plays with the human instinct to move when afraid and how fighting that instinct can be the only thing keeping you alive. The story is simple, yet extremely effective, building suspense without overexplaining. The film cen...

https://youtu.be/aScwR4tmFmI?si=xWUmrPbKY_R4G51f NORTH ATLNTIC A FILM WITH QUITE VOICES BUT BIG EMOTIONS Have you ever watched a film that left you lonely thinking about how it feels to be home alone. That is how watching North Atlantic by Bernardo Nascimento left me feeling even after it ended.   Watching the film made me feel lonely and connected to the characters emotionally. We also felt sad for them, and happy that they found a short connection. The beginning  was boring but it caught our attention when he noticed something about his monitor. It was very quiet, but we wanted to know what was going to happen.  The story is about a man who works alone on a small island as an air traffic controller. One day, he talks to a pilot over the radio. Even though they don’t meet, something emotional happens during their short conversation. The film shows how even small moments of human connection can mean a lot, especially when we feel alone. At some point we were surpri...
